I think I know #2, but can't quite place it. Apart from that, I spotted the obvious ones, The Shining (although at first I was going to say Short Circuit) and Jerry McGuire.
#2 is Scarface. #7 and #8 as Eerie said above. #5 sounds familiar - none of the rest do!

I've never seen all of Jack Nicholson's The Shining, though liked a TV version of it.
