It.s me again!

I cannot believe it has been over a year since I have posted.
Well, let's see...I moves out of the money pit of a house and moved into an apartment on the other side of town. Retired, and now have a new puppy, because Romeo crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on July 5, 2012.
Quite a change from all the work that had to be done at the other house.
I am settling into retirement,
Hopefully, now I can get back on here and keep up with all my cyber-friends.

Back to work.
Sometimes I can't wait to be there and other times I wish I could just retire and stay home. In the Winter, it seems I want to stay home more and more every day.
Today I have to go in early for a meting and then to CPR class. Both of which, I detest.  The meeting, because it will settle nothing, and the CPR, because it is a waste of time.
It seems on the days that I have to work, I have all this pent up energy to do things around the house, and when I am off, all I want to do in play on the computer, drink coffee, and spend time with my dog.
Oh well, gotta go get ready ... think I'll grab a cup of coffee to get me going!

Well, today was a brisk and blustery day, here in Oil City.
Usually, the cottage where I work is way too hot, but today, I just could not get warm. I dressed for the weather, but still just could not shake the shivers. I was beginning to think it was that ol' flu coming back, when I noticed my co-workers applying extra layers.  The individuals didn't seem to be cold, but the staff all looked like Eskimos.

HELLO AGAIN!

I realize it has been forever since I have posted, no excuses, just not much going on.
On the lighter side, I have heat and hot water, the taxes have been paid for another year, and repairs are coming along well, so far. The kitchen cabnets have nearly all received their first coat of primer and we are awaiting the return of our handy repair man to instll the ceiling and wall in the dining room and replace the panneled wall with fresh drywall.
I am still moving furnature in from the other house, but have lost interest in most of what is there.
Work is just about the same, not much new there either.
I am batteling this most recient flu that seems to be going around. But have not missed any work because of it.
When last we talked, Mo and Bily were coming up for their reunion, and it was so nice to have them and the girls (dogs) visiting. A good time was had by all.

With all that is going on at work, I decided to take advantage of the overtime, and signed up today and got it! This will help with the new car payments.

Today is the annual dinner dance, and since 2 of us are off and one is out sick, it would have been hard for the only staff to work with 2 trainees, so Jan and I signed up to work.

The ladies always seem to have a great time, and it is so nice to see them enjoying themselves, that it doesn't seem like work.

My this be but the first of some beautiful, fun filled weekends, and may everyone enjoy all the warm weather.

SPRING

OH, what a beautiful day! First day I have truly enjoyed in so long, and just couldn't deny myself a long ride with all the windows down.
Had a doctors appointment early and an apt. with the garage for an oil change, and treated myself to breakfast.
The doctor says I am a good candidate for a double knee replacement, but that is something I want to put on hold as long as possible. She agrees, IF rest and pain meds allow it to heal, but if in 4 weeks the pain persists, she wants to try cortisone. Oh well, maybe I'll end up being the $10,000,000 woman! LOL!

I have a computer again!

Oh how I missed everyone so much. Just being able to check in and get an idea of what is going on in the outside world, gives me so much peace.



Again, work is stressful, people being moved around, the cottages are so warm, and the employees are so unhappy.



The house is not being done as fast as I would like, and the bills were out of sight for the winter.



Thank heaven the seasons are changing, the sun is shining, and life is looking up. I called in sick today, because my back was killing me and I was having trouble keeping food down. So...I cuddled up on the couch, got extra loving from my dog, great conversation from my daughter, plenty of rest, it is still early, and I am feeling sooo much better.

What a difference...

a day makes. Just got a call from the garage, and the fuel pump is fine, dirt in the line, they put $10 worth of gas in the car and it is running fine, they found my wallet, and the tow was paid for by my insurance.

Looks like 2010 is going to be a great year after all!
